These are the seven stages of web development that are used at Ecliptic Software Solutions.
Each stage is a critial stepping stone on the path to your web site and complete Customer Satisfaction.
Click the step and read about it below.
First we
will find your company's Corporate Identity. This stage is very important.
Information about your company is gathered and from here we decide who you
really are. This allows us to get a feel for what the site should look like and
what kind of content will be contained in its pages. The information collected
is on a voluntary basis and usually covers things like when the company started
up and what the company does. This is also the point where we find out why you
want and need a web site, and who the target audience will be.
Next, we plan out the site. At this step, we take the information gathered from
you in step one and break it up into smaller sections. These sections will be
the building blocks for the individual pages that come with the finished
product.
After a basic idea of what each page will contain has been established, we design each
individual page on paper. This makes visualizing what the site will look like
easier without wasting valuable time coding mistakes or staring at a blank
screen with a mind blank. As a page's design is approved, we send it off to the
next step.
Construction of the site comes next. This is where the final product starts to
take shape in your eyes. The site is posted on our server and you are given the
domain name so you can keep an eye on production. An easy to use index page
tells you what has been changed lately and can link you right that change. This
allows you, the customer to keep an eye on what is happening and helps us to
save time in by preventing major mistakes. Created here is faster, easier
and more effective communication.
The implementation step occurs when you are happy with the product. Here we put
the site up on the server of your choice and test the pages there. Any errors
found are promptly fixed and the site is polished up.
When the site is finished, it is time to promote it. One of the most important
ways to promote your site is to do it your self. Every customer you talk to
should learn about your site and where to find it. We will also suggest your web
site to some of the major search engines. The more people that look at your site,
the better your site will rank on most search engines. Keeping people comming back
is helped by step 7.
Updates are the best way to keep traffic coming to your site. People like to keep
informed and if they know there are going to be changes occurring then they will
usually come back to visit often. This can be do-it-yourself or we offer
affordable packages and can do it for you.
